The Hub on Whyte

Meuwly’s Owners Launch "The Hub," a Collaborative Restaurant Pop-Up in Whyte Avenue’s Historic Hub Cigar Building

Edmonton, AB – July 1, 2025 — Peter Keith and Glendon Tan, the owners behind Meuwly’s, are proud to announce the grand opening of The Hub, a collaborative culinary space located in Whyte Avenue’s historic Hub Cigar building (10345 82 Avenue.)

Set for an official grand opening on July 11, 2025, The Hub will serve as a launchpad for Edmonton’s emerging restaurants. The inaugural lineup features some of 124th Street’s exciting food brands - Beb’s Bagels and Balay Coffee, each bringing their unique flavors and concepts to the vibrant Old Strathcona community. A soft-opening will begin in the coming days - follow each brand on Instagram for more updates. The pop-up is scheduled to end after the summer.

The Hub is designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and community. In addition to its core lineup (with additional full-time brands coming soon,) the space will regularly host community pop-ups and provide opportunities for up-and-coming chefs and entrepreneurs to showcase their menus and connect with local food lovers.

“We know first-hand that collaboration is essential for small businesses to succeed. Our vision for The Hub is a welcoming space where culinary innovation thrives, and where Edmontonians can discover their next favourite food experience,” said Peter Keith. “We’re excited to celebrate local talent and bring new energy to this historic building.”

The Hub blends heritage charm with a modern, community-focused approach to food. The venue will feature some seating, collaborative kitchen spaces, and a rotating calendar of pop-ups to keep the experience fresh and engaging.
